Frequently asked questions
Which image formats and batch sizes are supported?
JPG, PNG and WebP are supported, up to 40 images, 25 MB each and 250 MB total, to prevent excessive browser memory use.
How are images ordered as PDF pages?
Each image becomes one page in queue order. Use the arrow buttons or sort by file name, which works well for scans named 01, 02 and 03.
How do A4, Letter and image-fit differ?
A4 suits most documents outside North America. US Letter is 8.5 × 11 inches. Image-fit gives each page the image proportions and ignores margins.
Which quality preset should I choose?
Small file suits screen viewing, Clear suits everyday documents, and Print keeps more pixels but uses more RAM and creates a larger PDF. Higher quality cannot restore detail missing from the source.
What happens to transparent PNGs and source images?
Transparent PNG areas are placed on white because PDF pages do not use the same transparency model. Source images are unchanged and should be kept until you inspect the PDF.
Are images uploaded or processed with VPS resources?
No. Images are read, resized and assembled one at a time in your browser. The VPS only serves the page and scripts; it does not receive, store or process image content.
