Quick guide

Compress Images to a Target KB Size or Choose Quality

Compress multiple JPG, PNG and WebP images at once. Choose quality yourself or set a per-image ceiling such as 100 KB, 200 KB or 1 MB. The tool finds the highest quality that fits and gradually reduces pixel dimensions only when needed. It reports actual before-and-after sizes and processes one image at a time in your browser without uploading files to the VPS.

What this tool does

  • Set a maximum size per image in KB for forms, email and application portals.
  • Choose JPG or WebP and see the size, pixel dimensions and target result for every image.
  • Process one image at a time on your device, then download files separately or as a ZIP without sending images to the VPS.

How to use Compress Images

  1. 1Choose or drop multiple JPG, PNG or WebP images.
  2. 2Choose manual quality, or choose a maximum size and enter the number of KB.
  3. 3Start processing, check whether each image meets the target, then download the reviewed files.

Frequently asked questions

Will the result be exactly 100 KB or 200 KB?

The tool aims to stay under the selected limit while keeping the highest possible quality. It does not add useless filler to hit an exact byte count, so the result may be smaller than the target. If the image or browser cannot meet the limit, the tool clearly says that its smallest result is still over the target.

How does target-KB mode work?

The tool tests several JPG or WebP encoding levels to find the highest quality under the target. If the result is still too large and automatic resizing is enabled, it gradually reduces width and height and tests again.

Reduce the image size and the image will be broken or not?

Lossy compression or pixel resizing can reduce detail, especially around small text and sharp lines. Open and zoom the result before using it for an application, document submission or publication.

Will a PNG remain a PNG?

In automatic mode, PNG is converted to WebP so quality can be adjusted and the file can shrink meaningfully. This tool may not suit a workflow that must keep the original PNG format because browser quality controls apply to JPG and WebP.

Does the image use VPS CPU or memory?

No. Files are read, compressed and packaged as ZIP in your device browser. The VPS only serves the page and scripts, so it does not use VPS CPU or memory to process images. Analytics does not store filenames or image contents.
