Frequently asked questions
Can it calculate a duration across midnight?
Yes. Choose the following date as the end. The result uses elapsed seconds and displays 24-hour days, hours, minutes and seconds.
Does Monday–Friday work time exclude public holidays?
No. This mode excludes Saturdays and Sundays within the workday you enter, but it has no public-holiday calendar. Review and deduct holidays separately.
How is break time deducted?
Enter total break minutes. They are deducted from elapsed time, or from Monday–Friday work hours when selected. A break cannot exceed the calculated duration.
How do calendar-day boundaries differ from 24-hour days?
Calendar-day boundaries count the dates crossed. A day in the main duration equals 24 hours, so the two values can differ when start and end times differ.
Do time zones and daylight-saving changes matter?
Yes. The tool uses your device time zone, so elapsed time may not equal exactly 24 hours when that zone enters or leaves daylight-saving time.
Are dates and times sent to the VPS?
No. Calculation and CSV creation happen in the browser. The VPS only serves the page files and does not use its CPU or RAM to process your dates and times.
