What this tool does
- Use Web Crypto in the browser and calculate each entry’s chance from its weight.
- Support up to 200 entries, detect duplicates and optionally remove each winner.
- Keep draw history and copy results only on this device.
- Share the wheel in a URL fragment that is not sent in requests to the VPS.

Frequently asked questions
How do I set the chance for each name?
Type a name followed by | and a weight. For example, Team A|3 has three times the wheel area and chance of Team B|1. Every entry starts at weight 1 when no weight is given.
How does the wheel choose a winner?
The result is selected before the animation with the browser’s crypto.getRandomValues, then the wheel rotates to that segment. An entry’s weight divided by the total weight is its chance in that spin.
Can I draw without repeating a winner?
Yes. Enable Remove winner after spin and each winner is removed before the next round. This works well for multiple prizes or a random order.
Where does a share link keep the names?
The names and winner-removal setting are encoded after # in the URL. That fragment is not sent in HTTP requests to the VPS, but anyone who receives the link can decode and read the names, so do not include secrets.
Are draw results and history stored on the VPS?
No. The draw runs in the browser and history stays in localStorage on this device until you clear it. Analytics records only start and success events, never the list or winner name.
