Frequently asked questions
Can I open notes from another device?
Notes do not sync automatically because they stay in this browser. Back up all notes as JSON, then import that file on the new device.
Will clearing browser data and my notes disappear?
Notes can disappear if you clear site data, use private browsing, change browsers or the browser removes storage. Regularly back up important notes as JSON.
Which files and note limits are supported?
Import TXT, Markdown or JSON backups up to 20 MB per file. The tool limits storage to 500 notes and 2 million characters per note to control device resources; actual capacity still depends on the browser quota.
Are notes sent to the VPS?
No. Note text and backup files are read and saved only in the browser. The VPS serves the page, while analytics records only bounded import, export, success or error states without note text or file names.
